Small Groups
The mission of our small groups here at Bally Mennonite Church is to help Christians in their journey with Christ by developing relationships with others through common interest small groups.
When an interest is shared among individuals, the next step is to build upon this common ground to deepen the relationship. We believe this can be done through everything from a traditional Bible study to a shared interest in an everday hobby.
We have had groups meet in the name of Jesus to do things such as play or listen to music, learn healthy eating habits, support one another in keeping an organized home and even playing sports.
We are constantly promoting new ways of enjoying small group life and one on one discipleships.
We invite you to be a part of our exciting, little community.
For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them. -Matthew 18:20
Adult Sunday School
There are five adult classes that are meeting during the summer Sunday School quarter. An intergenerational class meets regularly for bible study using the Mennonite International Lesson Quarterly. A group of Young Adults is studying the book “Experiencing God”. There are two Men’s Groups; one is studying the book of James and the other meets to discuss matters of life and faith. And a class called “Coffee and Conversation” meets and participants may raise questions or discuss current issues relating to the church, God, or any other matters of life and faith.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care ministries are overseen by the pastoral staff and the Elder Board. Pastoral care is performed by small group leaders and members, the pastoral staff, deacon, deaconess, elders, and other persons gifted in the pastoral care role. Pastoral care includes hospital visitation, home visitation for people confined to their homes, phone calls, prayer ministries, and referrals for counseling, among other things. Contact the church office or a member of the Elder Board if you are in need of pastoral care.
Senior Group
The Senior Group meets monthly for fellowship and encouragement.
Sewing Circle
Bally Sewing Circle meets monthly to quilt and knot comforters to support various relief efforts.
Pancake Breakfasts
Periodic Saturday morning breakfasts are held for a time of fellowship and to raise funds for many different mission projects. These are not to be missed!
